as the years have past
mind begins to change
some are lucky
others, never the same
off goes the mind
body slowly follows
years of abuse
leaves the one hollow
its a sad sight to see
the ones close to your heart
dementia, cancer, heart condition
all in all the same
does it make one suffer?
or more the ones that watch?
to see someone slowly fade away
unable to stop times clock
i'm going to miss my aunt
i carry her close to my heart
